How I fell into aviation

Throughout my life I’ve loved airplanes. As a kid I always asked pilots for cockpit tours and tried to take the controls—an exhilarating moment for a five‑year‑old who thought he was Anakin Skywalker.

My grandpa earned his certificate in 1975, learned in a Cessna 152, and kept flying—Skymaster to Phenom 300E—until 88, logging over 10,000 hours never flying for commercial purposes. He flew for any excuse he could, creating adventures and stories for his lifetime.

I began training in March 2022 and earned my private in April 2023. The path was hard and rewarding. I love how flying expands your radius of opportunity.
